Fluorescence micrographs of in vitro L. mexicana promastigote and haptomonad-like cells at different differentiation stages (i-v) expressing mNeonGreen (mNG; green)- or mCherry (mCh; magenta)-tagged FAZ proteins from the cell body (FAZ2), intermembrane (FAZ5 and FLA1BP), and flagellum (FAZ34) domains, in situ. DNA was stained with Hoechst 33342 (blue). FAZ34 and FLA1BP. The insets at the top right corner of each image illustrate the details of the FAZ localization.
