Map of geographic locations and dates for some sites where human DNA from individuals older than 100 ka has been retrieved. Harbin ~146 ka (sampled in this study), Baishiya Karst Cave ~100 ka (sedimentary DNA), Denisova Cave 123-217 ka (bones from layers 14 and 15 of the East Chamber and layer 22.1 of the Main Chamber), Scladina Cave ~120 ka, and Hohlenstein-Stadel Cave ~124 ka.
