The energy of peak P I jumps abruptly to higher energies when M B switches between 0.13 T and 0.17 T, resulting in M S and M B being antiparallel. The peak jumps back when the surface layer switches between 0.96 T and 1.06 T. The spectra are offset vertically for clarity.
