In the rat optic nerve, ~50% of the genes encoding the enzymes in these pathways (A) were reliably quantifiable by qPCR, of which expression of Dnmt1 and Cbs was significantly reduced at 14 days post-OHT induction relative to NT control (NT,n= 8 ONs; OHT-d7,n= 6 ONs; OHT-d14,n= 9 ONs).
