mTOs were generated with a constant number of TECs (1 x 105) and DNs (5 x 104) and varying numbers of FTM cells: Hi FTM, 4 x 104 FTMs per well (physiological FTM:TEC ratio); Lo FTM, 1.5 x 104 FTMs; and no-FTM mTO, 0 FTMs. ECs were not included. Representative plots showing thymocyte sub-set distribution after 14 days culture, for the markers and conditions shown.
