Fitness gain curves of male functions at the floral level under the condition when inbreeding depression is not taken into account (right). Each point represents one individual with one flower (n= 87). The points were jittered to avoid overlapping. The shape of the gain curves was estimated by fitting exponential curves (see STAR Methods for details) and the exponent b is shown in the figure with the standard error. An asterisk denotes that the curve was significantly non-linear. See also Figure S2 and Table S1.
