Wolbachia infection status of butterflies. Wolbachia infection was determined by amplification of the Wolbachia-specific wsp gene and Sanger sequencing. The genotype of wBol1 (i.e., wBol1Y [Hb-oscar positive] or wBol1J [Hb-oscar negative]) was determined by PCR targeting the Hb-oscar gene. The numbers to the right of the pie charts indicate the number of individuals.
