Overview of forward genetic screen for suppressors of PTLA phenotype in ire-1 mutants, where F2 progeny from EMS-mutagenized ire-1 mutants were L1 arrested for 14 days, then plated on plates with food. Rare mutants that developed to adulthood and were fertile were used to establish lines that were analyzed by whole-genome sequencing.
