Associations between infrastructure access and health-adjusted life expectancy (HALE) across environmental dimensions. The sample sizes were 51 countries for the Global North (red) and 109 countries for the Global South (blue). Ordinary least squares linear regression models were conducted with two-sided hypothesis tests and no multiple comparison adjustments. The shaded areas denote the 95% CIs from the linear regression models, and the central lines represent the predicted values. Pearson correlation coefficients (r), their 95% CIs and significance levels (P) are reported in each panel.
