Split-LUC assays examining the competition between AtMTA and AtSET (upper panel), and CmMTA and CmSET (lower panel). Split-LUC assays were conducted by the infiltration of Agrobacterium carrying indicated constructs into N. benthamiana leaves. Images of plants sprayed with 500 μM luciferin and placed in the dark for 5 min are shown. Quantitation of luciferase intensity from three biological replications are shown in plots (error bars are SD).
