When illuminating the same scatterers with a diffraction minimum, the modulation at the minimum of the resulting signal is outside the noise bands (standard deviation of the Poisson process), allowing separation. Decreasing d results in a deeper minimum of the joint signal. The insets in c and d show the profile of the individual average intensity profiles scattered by each point scatterer as well as their joint signal.
