Workflow from Scientific Research

Healthy UK adults aged between 18 years and 45 years were enrolled and assigned to one of seven groups. Groups 1, 2, 3, and 4A underwent CHMI in January, 2017 and groups 4B, 5, 6, and 7 underwent CHMI in September, 2017. Participants in group 1 who did not develop malaria after challenge A were invited back for rechallenge in challenge B. CHMI=Controlled Human Malaria Infection. R21/MM=R21/Matrix M.
