Confocal images of smFISH signals (magenta) obtained from whole-mount adult brains using anti- rpl15. The population of MB axons (ax) is labeled in green in the bottom overlay images. Boxed areas correspond to single confocal sections of MB neuron cell bodies (cb). MB axons were labeled using the 201Y-Gal4 driver in combination with UAS-cGFP.
