Confocal images of smFISH signals (magenta) obtained from whole-mount adult brains using gfp. The population of MB axons (ax) is labeled in green in the bottom overlay images. Boxed areas correspond to single confocal sections of MB neuron cell bodies (cb). GFP protein-trap knock-in lines were used to detect lk6 and rols mRNA distribution. MB axons were labeled using the 201Y-Gal4 driver in combination with UAS-CD8-RFP. Asterisks indicate signals corresponding to the soma of neighboring neuronal populations. Scale bar: 10 m.
