Quantification of the production of reactive oxygen species (oxburst) in leaf discs from the genotypes indicated in the legend upon elicitation with the bacterial flagellin epitope flg22 (100 nM). Markers denote the mean and whiskers the SEM of four independent experiments comprising 12 leaf discs per genotype treatment combination each (n= 4). Statistically significant differences between ems456 and the controls were detected in two-way ANOVA and Bonferroni post hoc pairwise comparisons at the 1st, 2nd, and 9th–14th time points (p< 0.05).
