FANCA mRNA from K562CCAR1-/- cells include the poison exon (PE). RT-PCR experiments were performed on the indicated samples: wild type, two different CCAR1-/- clones, and a CCAR1-/- clone with stably re-expressed CCAR1 cDNA. The lower band represents the product of wild-type splicing between exon 14 and 15, while the upper band represents the poison exon inclusion.
