The S1 RNA-binding OB domain (134–212 aa) and SAP DNA/RNA-binding domain (635–685 aa, or longer version [SAP-2] 614–683 aa) of CCAR1 are dispensable for splicing activity; however, the LAIKA, BURAN, and EF-hand domains are required. The upper section indicates CCAR1 protein domains (also refer to Figure S3H). The lower section shows western blot analysis of samples using the indicated antibodies (anti-FANCA, anti-CCAR1, and anti-GAPDH).
