Differentially abundant proteins (with a greater than 0.5 log2fold change) between the ND and T2D donor islets were connected in a protein-protein interaction network (gold lines) using STRING and depicted in the context of their beta cell compartments and functions. The color of the nodes represents the fold change (ND/T2D), while the thickness of the line around the nodes represents the pvalue (adjusted).
