A schematic drawing of the generative model. The true methylation proportion for each CpG in each cell type is independently drawn from a uniform distribution from [0,1]. Reads are generated from these proportions according to their cell type of origin. Read Length (RL) determines the number of CpGs on each read, and Read Depth (RD) was held constant at 10.
