Time-lapse imaging showing ESCRT-III machinery triggering membrane invagination within a lysosomal lipid-mimicking GUV. Recombinant Snf7 (600 nM), Vps20 (200 nM), Vps24 (200 nM), Vps2 (200 nM), dextran cascade blue were added to the GUV (DOPC = 40 mol %, DOPE = 20 mol %, DOPS = 10 mol %, LBPA = 10 mol %, PI = 5 mol %, cholesterol = 5 mol %, and rhodamine PE = 0.1 mol %) solution, incubated for 10 min and followed by adding Vps4 (200 nM) and 1 μM ATP/Mg2+.
