FIB-SEM images show representative primary lysosome, multivesicular body (MVB), hybrid lysosome, autophagosome, autolysosome, and ERES structures. ERES: grape-like clusters of membranes devoid of ribosomes and connected with ER. Primary lysosome: electron-dense single membrane structure. Multivesicular bodies: single membrane structure with intraluminal vesicles. Hybrid lysosomes: electron-dense single membrane structures with partially degraded substrates. Autophagosomes: double-membrane structures with undegraded substrates. Autolysosomes: single membrane structures with partially degraded substrates. Scale bar: 750 nm.
