Representative micrographs of metaphase cells expressing Nuf2-mCherry and Mps1-mNeonGreen-6xFlag (wild-type or interface mutants). Mps1wt-mNeonGreen shows a focused signal co-localized with Nuf2-mCherry signals on short spindles. The Mps1 interface mutants show a broader circular signal corresponding to the nuclear background.
