Schematic of translation initiation under permissive (25C) and restrictive (37C) conditions in the cdc33-ts4-2 strain. Under normal conditions, the cap-binding factor is stable and translation initiation proceeds as normal. Under restrictive conditions, the factor degrades, inhibiting canonical initiation.
