Workflow from Scientific Research

Experimental scheme. Indirect calorimetry was carried out in 8-week-old male C57BL/6J mice to assess whole-body metabolism. Mice were fed either a normal chow diet or a Western diet (WD). The control groups (chow or WD) were given ad libitum access to food and water. Mice under an IF (5:2) regimen were fasted for 2 non-consecutive days per week, with each fasting cycle lasting 24 h.
