A mechanism of SUCLA2-regulated OXCT1 succinylation and activation in ketolysis and HCC tumorigenesis. IGF1 stimulation enhances SUCLA2 associates with OXCT1 by ERK-mediated phosphorylation and PIN1-mediatedcis-transisomerization. SUCLA2 converts succinate and CoA into succinyl-CoA, which succinylates OXCT1 and increases OXCT1 activity. Activated OXCT1 increases ketolysis and promotes cell proliferation and tumor growth.
