Key evaluation indicators for ATSC tasks. The data are presented as mean +- s.d. The centre represents the mean values and the error bar represents the s.d. ( n = 5). During the first 3,000 s, the system will continue to load vehicles, causing the traffic pressure at the intersections to gradually increase, and the average queue length will gradually increase. However, our method clears the traffic congestion well, so that the maximum average queue length does not exceed about 6 vehicles in Grid, 2 vehicles in Monaco and 1 vehicle in New York. This indicator is lower than other algorithms. After 3,000 s of vehicles loading, our method can maintain an average intersection delay at about 250 s per vehicle in Grid, 300 s per vehicle in Monaco and 10 s per vehicle in New York. Our method prevents it from increasing. At different times, our decentralized policies achieved the most arrived vehicles, the least halting vehicles and stable average velocity. It should be noted that in New York scenario, the actual total evaluation time is 1,000 s; to unify the time with all scenarios, we have standardized it to within 3,600 s.
