MDCs integrated between -1 eV to EF as highlighted by the black (S) and yellow (L*) boxes in the DMFT spectral function calculations for the S phase. Note: the spectrum is notably sharper in the vicinity of EF; however, there is also sizeable spectral weight around -1.5 to -2.0 eV in the region of the Hubbard band (Fig. 2d ). A Gaussian convolution has been applied to the data for better comparison to experiment.
