The sulfur compounds that become depleted after transfer of the strain into the indicated starvation media are written in white on gray backgrounds. Sulfur supplements are marked with a thick outline. The sam1 sam2 (Y1504) mutant was grown in SF-medium supplemented with 0.1 mM Cys, Met and SAM, and shifted into SF-medium alone or containing 0.1 mM Cys and Met.
