GFP-Atg8 processing assay. The sam1 sam2 mutant expressing GFP-Atg8 from ATG8 endogenous promoter (Y1506) was grown and starved as above. Cells were collected at the indicated times. GFP-Atg8 expression and free GFP are relative to the 6-h time point in the no sulfur condition. Data are mean of two independent cultures.
