Workflow from Scientific Research

Transgenic worms expressing the ChR2(C128S;H134R) variant with slow closure kinetics are treated with varying numbers of consecutive 5-s blue light pulses interrupted by 20-min dark recovery phases to repeatedly trigger sustained contractions that paralyse the worms and rupture approximately 30–40% of the individuals.
