The variation of d inter between successive bilayers, using PEG chains of different molecular weights, and in various combinations, is shown. Micrographs correspond to combinations, with average d inter values of 10, 23, 34 and 44 nm, for no-linker, PEG 2K DBCO:PEG 2K N 3 , PEG 2K DBCO:PEG 5K N 3 and PEG 5K DBCO:PEG 5K N 3 , respectively.
