Survival curves. 5FU-treated mice were challenged with 7.5 x 104CFUs, while PBS controls received 1 x 105CFUs. The latter group was sacrificed on day 9 without any signs of sickness. The dashed line corresponds to predicted survival of immunocompetent (PBS-treated) mice (n = 910 for 5FU groups, n = 3 for PBS group).
