Population FRET histograms generated from experiments, including all six DNA duplexes labeled with LD555-LD655 FRET pair in the absence of solution TSQs. All experiments were performed in deoxygenated imaging buffers at 100 ms time resolution using a custom-built TIRF imaging platform 51 . A single, empirically derived gamma -correction parameter was used for FRET efficiency calculations.
