Comparison of total VFAMs in macroalgal genomes from Rhodophyta(n= 74), Ochrophyta (n= 43), and Chlorophyta (n= 11). Rhodophyta had the highest average VFAMs per genome, followed by Chlorophyta, then Phaeophyceae. No phyla significantly differed from another in terms of average VFAMs per genome.
