Violin Plot from Scientific Research

GC lengths and corresponding pore lengths were quantified in abaxial cotyledons of wild type,FAMAp:OPL2-VENUSandFAMAp:OPL2m-VENUSexpressing lines. Measurements were taken from 291 x 291 m regions flanking the midvein of 10 independent cotyledons per genotype. Within these regions, n = 119–148 stomata per genotype were measured, and the ratio of pore length to total GC length was calculated and depicted as box plots with overlayed violin plots in yellow. A pore-to-GC length ratio of 0 indicates that no pore was detected. Groups represent statistical differences based on adjusted p value < 0.05 determined by a Kruskal-Wallis multiple comparison followed by a post hoc Dunn test with p values adjusted by the Holm method.
