Time domain for magnetoencephalography (MEG) as a function of ITD (in s) indicated on the right of (H). Time-domain waveforms were taken from a sensor with the largest amplitude across all participants (C and F, 500 s, white-colored regions). Individual responses are shown by the faint lines, the grand average is shown in magenta, and standard deviation is shown by the shaded area. ASSRs were robust and remained unaffected by the different ITDs. ITD-FRs were more variable and showed a non-monotonic change in amplitude as a function of ITD. This non-monotonicity was consistent for both EEG and MEG modalities. Vertical dotted lines in the time domain show the time of an ITD transition.
