Quantification of protrusion lysis and galectin-3-GFP localization during 1-h imaging. HeLa cells infected (MOI 50) with either B. thailandensis TssB-5-mScarlet-I parental strain or the indicated ΔT6SS-5 strains. Parental strain: 22 fields of view (81 μm × 81 μm), ΔT6SS-5 strains: 35 fields of view (81 μm × 81 μm). Four biological replicates for each strain, two-tailed unpaired t test used (***p< 0.001).
