PAGE analysis of polyP extracted from protein lysates obtained with either 150 or 500 mM NaCl lysis buffer. Phenol-extracted polyP/RNA (5 or 15 μg RNA) were resolved on a 25% PAGE gel and visualized by toluidine blue staining. Yellow bars indicate the average length differences in the recovered polyP.
