Asymmetric (top, blue) and symmetric (bottom, red) cell divisions in the same human embryo during 8-to-16-cell transition. Embryos mosaic for GFP stained with SiR-actin and SPY555-DNA at 8-cell stage and imaged over time. Zona was digitally removed for clarity. Scale bars, 50 m.
