HLA imputation performance (measured as locus-specific concordance between alleles called to two-field (four-digit) resolution) in the VaccGene populations using the traditional method and reference set (HLA*IMP:02) clustering by locus and population. Results were compared to the performance of our enhanced high-resolution algorithm and reference dataset (HLA*IMP:02G) using the same individuals divided into validation and test groups using a fivefold cross-validation approach.
