Critical aspiration pressure p C,50 as a function of the indentation force F for chemical treatment by MargAc and CytoD. Linear fits with R 2 Control = 0.997, R 2 MargAc = 0.994 and R 2 CytoD = 0.980, measured in 3 independent repeats with a total of 25, 24, 27, 10 and 10 cells for MargAc, and 19, 11, 13, 11 and 19 cells for CytoD treatments for the force steps of 2, 6, 12.5, 18 and 25 nN, respectively. The error bars correspond to the standard deviation of the sigmoid fit plus a measure for the goodness of fit of the sigmoidal model, as defined in the Methods section.
