Protein Structure from Scientific Research

The crystal structure of the WT SARS-CoV-2 3CLpro in complex with WU-04 (PDB code: 7EN8). Two double mutations M49K/M165V and M49K/S301P of SARS-CoV-2 3CLpro were identified as WU-04-resistant mutations. Residues M49, M165, and the catalytic residue C145 from one 3CLpro protomer (colored gray), along with residue S301 and the N- and C-terminal residues S1 and Q306 from the other 3CLpro protomer (colored slate) within the same 3CLpro homodimer, are depicted as sticks in the crystal structure.
