The percentage of Calcaneurons responsive to application of a 0.4-g VF filament increased from 24% after vehicle injection to 49.5% after NTG injection. The percent of 0.4-g VF filament-responsive neurons remained elevated, at 40.5%, 24 and 48 h after NTG injection.
