Weights of adult Il10-/- mice colonized with the SM14 and maintained on a fiber-rich (FR) diet or switched to a fiber-free (FF) diet at 14 days. Curves represent polynomial (quadratic) equations fit to all of the weights gathered on various days. Animals that were euthanized were excluded from the curve at later points. Two FF-fed animals from an early experiment were found dead and were not included in subsequent analyses. Right axis shows survival over time.
