Experimental design for MGO-induced mutagenesis in theGLO1-null background. In regime A, cells were treated with a single dose of MGO for 24 h and allowed to recover for 7 days before single-cell sub-clonal expansion. In regime B, cells were treated intermittently with MGO for 24 h, twice weekly, for 17/35 days before single-cell sub-clonal expansion.
