Map of southern Africa showing key coastal locations and the acoustic receiver array in which movements of acoustically tagged bull sharks were monitored. Pop-up locations of PSAT tags are shown for bull sharks tagged in the Breede River Estuary. Bioregions of South Africa following ref. 55 are also indicated. The blue-shaded region is the Agulhas bioregion, a warm-temperate zone characterized by intermittent upwelling. The tan-shaded region is the subtropical Natal bioregion and the purple-shaded region is the tropical Delagoa bioregion at the border between South Africa and Mozambique.
