3D Plot from Scientific Research

Tomographic analysis of the spatial distribution of the four types of macromolecule in representative holes was performed separately. Particle distributions in 3D tomograms indicate that most particles of 70S ribosome, 20S proteasome, apo-ferritin and ACE2 are distributed in monolayers within a thin layer of vitreous ice. The spatial arrangement of particles in x , y and z coordinates is shown with fitting planes of particles (magenta), AWI (purple) and GWI (blue) in the 3D perspective. In the 2D perspective, the arrangement of particles in the zx plane is shown with the same annotations for AWI (purple) and GWI (blue).
