The blue, orange, and green arcs correspond to ellipses of fixed circumference calculated using the Ramanujan's approximations the values are equivalent to the average circumference obtained for each nanorings. The solid black line indicates circular geometries (a=b, f=0). The dotted lines represent f=0.4 and 0.6, the shape becoming more elliptical with increasing f value.
