Blood pressure cuff inflation resulted in a short-lasting interruption of blood flow to the right arm (total duration 13 s), mimicking circulatory arrest. Before the event, the patient was in sinus rhythm with a blood pressure of 140/60 mm Hg. Inflation of the blood pressure cuff resulted in an interruption of blood flow to the right lower arm resulting in the flattening of the blood pressure and photoplethysmography curve.
