VACV C6 co-precipitates with HDAC5 during infection. HEK293T cells were mock infected or infected with VACV expressing either a TAP-tagged N1 (vTAP-N1) or C6 (vTAP-C6) at 5 PFU per cell. At 3 h or 6 h p.i., the cells were washed with PBS twice, lysed, and clarified by centrifugation, and TAP-tagged proteins were subjected to affinity purification (AP) by Strep-Tactin. Input (left), or affinity-purified proteins were analyzed by immunoblots with antibodies as indicated.
